Releases 0.91 and 0.92 both went out on 19 October. Together they rebuild the customer page in the admin so the whole relationship is in one place.

The customer at a glance

A customer's page now opens with their orders and what they've spent, leaving out cancelled orders and refunds, plus their donations and subscriptions when they have any, and a warning if they have a basket in progress. Below that are their last three orders, their Gift Aid declarations and what can be reclaimed, and three short timelines: products they've viewed recently, what they've done on the site, and what they've liked, each with pictures and names. When there is something to show, an Also on file card lists their fundraisers, reviews, restaurant visits and event tickets.

Correct their details

Staff can edit a customer's title, name, email address, phone numbers and date of birth. A customer can have several phone numbers: the first is their main number, and another can be made main with one click. Orders they've already placed keep the details they were placed with, and their sign-in doesn't change.

Sign out everywhere

For customers with an account, the page lists the browsers they're kept signed in on and when each was last used. Sign out everywhere signs them out on every browser and phone straight away, which helps when someone has lost a phone or shared a computer. Nothing else on their account changes.

Your customers on a map

The customers list can switch from a list to a map. Each customer is placed by their latest order's postcode, or roughly by where they last browsed from, and people in the same place share one circle, bigger the more there are. It keeps any search or filter you've chosen, so you can see where your subscribers or last month's buyers live. Each customer's page has a map of their addresses too.

Also in 0.91 and 0.92

  • Details a shopper types at checkout now reach their customer record, so fewer customers show as anonymous.
  • More web crawlers are recognised, so they don't fill your customer list.
  • A failed account merge says why.
