What shoppers see
A promo code box where they expect it
In the basket and at checkout there's an Add a promo code box. The discount shows as its own line, and if a code doesn't work the shopper is told why, such as the basket being under the minimum spend. Automatic offers simply appear, with no code needed.
The box appears as soon as you have a code running
Codes work in capitals or lower case, and shoppers can remove them
A code stays on the order if the basket stops qualifying, and comes back if it qualifies again
Setting one up
Three kinds of offer, any conditions you need
Each promotion is a percentage off, an amount off or free delivery. Leave the conditions blank and it applies to every basket, or set any mix of them.
A minimum spend, counted on the items the offer discounts
Products from chosen collections, or particular products and quantities ("any three of these")
A first and last day, in your shop's time zone, or scheduled for later
A priority, and whether it can be combined with other offers
A list with filters for active, scheduled and expired, search, and how often each has been used
Limits
"First 100 customers" and "once each"
Cap a promotion in total and per customer. A use is counted when the order is placed and given back if the order is cancelled or fully refunded, so it's free for the next customer.
"12 of 100" on the list, and Used up when they've gone
The latest uses, with the order and the discount given
Codes nobody can guess: Generate makes an 8-character code for an influencer or staff
Guessing is slowed down: after a few wrong codes the shopper waits or completes a reCAPTCHA
Who gets it
Offers for chosen customers and members
Assign a promotion to particular customers, such as staff or someone you owe an apology, and nobody else can use it. Or make it for subscribers only, so members get their discount automatically.
Search for a customer and assign it, or do it from their own page
Subscribers-only offers go to members whose subscription is paid up
Exclusions per promotion, on top of shop-wide ones that leave out donations and gift cards
With your AI assistant
Set up an offer by conversation
An assistant connected to your shop can create promotions with limits, exclusions and assigned customers, with the same checks as the admin.

Done: an automatic free-delivery promotion for baskets of £40 or more, Saturday to Monday. Gift cards and donations are already excluded shop-wide, so they don't count towards the £40.
