Ordering
Takeaway and delivery, done properly
A menu built for ordering food rather than browsing a shop, and none of each order going to an app.
A menu, not a catalogue
The Bistro theme puts the menu on the home page, with sections that stay in view, dietary filters, dish search and an open or closed line on every page.
Extras and "no onions"
Choice groups with minimums, maximums and prices, a sold-out switch, and a note on every line. Choices are priced into the order.
Allergens up front
The 14 UK allergens and dietary flags on each dish and each choice, shown on the menu, in the basket and on the kitchen ticket.
Where you deliver, and why not
Set your area by postcode district or distance, a minimum order and a charge. Checkout tells customers plainly why it can't deliver to them.
Honest times, and ordering ahead
Prep times grow as the kitchen gets busy. Customers choose as soon as possible or a later time, and last orders are respected.
Pay only once you've said yes
The card is held at checkout and only charged when the kitchen accepts. If nobody accepts in time, the order is turned down and the hold released.
In the kitchen
Every order on one screen in the kitchen
New orders arrive on a kitchen board in your Badger admin, on any tablet by the pass, with a chime. Staff accept each one with a prep time, and the customer's tracking page updates to match.
Lanes for new, cooking and ready, with allergens and timers on every ticket
Pause new orders when you're slammed, until you resume or for a set time
Sell sauce or T-shirts beside the food, sent out with the order
Kitchen alerts and "we've run out" on a phone with the Badger app (in pilot)
Ordering
Customers choose collection or delivery, and a time
At checkout the customer picks collection or delivery and as soon as possible or a later time. Times move out as the kitchen gets busy, and last orders are respected.

Groups and chains
One brand, every branch
Clatter is a demo chain of ten burger restaurants: one brand site, each customer starting from their own branch, and bookings at each restaurant.
Customers' branch remembered, with links straight to a branch
Each kitchen pauses and sets its own hours
Each kitchen sells only what it has in stock (Enterprise, with stock at several locations)
With your AI assistant
Ask how tonight looks
An assistant connected to your restaurant can read and change bookings, set up the dining room and read the day's takings.

How many covers have we got tonight, and is there room for a six at eight?
