Release 0.80 went out on 2 October. Most of it is about being found, both by your customers and by search engines.
Search your pages and articles
Shop search has always covered products and categories. It can now cover pages and blog posts too. Results appear in the search dropdown and in a "Pages & articles" tab on the results page. It's off by default; switch it on in your site settings if your site has plenty of written content worth finding.
What did people search for?
The admin now shows your top searches and the searches that returned nothing, for the last 90 days. A search that finds nothing usually points at a product you don't stock, a name customers use that you don't, or a typo worth handling. No personal data is kept, only the search terms. AI assistants connected to your shop can read the same report.
Structured data and breadcrumbs
Every page now tells search engines who you are and what your site is, using schema.org Organization and WebSite data, plus a sitelinks search box. Content pages show breadcrumbs built from your main menu, with matching data so search results can show the path.
Also in 0.80
- Heroes can have an animated background: a constellation, a flow field or a glowing grid, coloured from your design brief. The home page of this site uses the grid.
- Sites that don't sell anything can hide the basket and shop links in one setting.
- AI assistants can switch a shop's theme and set blog masthead images.
- Exporting and importing a site now keeps masthead images and the theme, and rebuilds search afterwards.
