Releases 0.83, 0.84 and 0.85 all went out on 7 October. Here's what they mean for your shop.

Reviews you can trust

Shoppers trust other shoppers, so you can now collect reviews. A few days after an order goes out, the customer gets an email asking how it was. They can give a star rating, add a comment and photos, and rate whatever matters for your products, such as quality or fit. Only people who actually bought can review, so the reviews are real. Each one is checked by AI before it appears, and anything doubtful waits for you to decide. Good ratings show on the product page and help those products come up higher when shoppers search your shop. Reviews are optional.

Best sellers first, automatically

On a busy shop, the order products appear in makes a real difference to sales. Your category pages and search results can now learn from what shoppers actually buy, and put the products most likely to sell at the top. You choose what matters most: sales, orders, clearing stock or profit, for the whole shop, one category or a sale period. Products you've placed by hand stay where you put them. It will also suggest products that do especially well in a particular category, for you to approve. To rank by profit, add what each product costs you; those prices stay private in your admin. This is part of Enterprise. See search and merchandising.

Ridge: a theme for charities, rescue teams and clubs

Ridge is for organisations that tell their story more than they sell. The home page leads with a photograph and your latest news, your updates can read as a news feed, a log or a timeline, and supporters' messages sit on a thank-you wall. Your shop and donations still work, in the same colours. See storefronts.

Promo codes in the basket

Shoppers can type a promo code in the basket or at checkout and see the saving straight away. If a code doesn't work, it says why, for example that it has expired.

Also in 0.83 to 0.85

  • Links to your products shared in WhatsApp, iMessage or social media show a picture and the price.
  • Customers can follow every parcel from their order page, and print a receipt.
  • Donors can leave a message of support, shown on the fundraiser page. See fundraisers.
  • If a shopper asks for more than you have in stock, the basket adds what's available and tells them.
