Late September brought the biggest change to day-to-day operations in a long time. It covers everything that happens after an order is placed.
Dispatch with tracking
When you dispatch an order you can add the carrier, tracking number and tracking link. The customer's dispatch email includes them, and you can resend it if it goes astray.
Cancel before dispatch
Cancelling an order now does the whole job. It refunds the payment, or releases it if it hasn't been taken yet. It puts the stock back and emails the customer. You can preview exactly what will happen before you confirm.
Returns
Returns have a proper lifecycle: create a return for some or all of the items, mark it received (restocking as you go), then refund it. Customers can also ask for a return from their own order page, with a reason; you approve or decline it, and they're emailed either way. Customer requests are off by default.
Let your assistant do it
All of this is available to AI assistants through the shop's MCP connection. That includes a single "ops inbox" call that lists what needs attention: orders to pack and dispatch, failed payments, returns to process and low stock. Refunds and cancellations preview first, carry an idempotency key so they can't happen twice, and are capped by an AI refund limit you set in the admin.
