Release 0.87 went out on 13 October. It's the biggest release yet: tickets for your events, labels and tracking for your parcels, an honest delivery date at checkout, and everything a shop with more than one store needs.

Sell tickets to your events

Any product can now be an event: give it a date, a venue and a number of places, and sell ticket types such as Adult, Child or VIP as its options. Every person gets their own QR code, in the order email, on the order page and in their account, and can add it to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Tickets can't oversell: the place is taken before the card is charged, and a buyer who loses the last ticket at checkout is told so and isn't charged. The event page shows its date, venue and whether it has sold out, and ended events drop out of your listings.

On the night, the event's attendance page lists who has a ticket and lets you check people in by order number or ticket code. Scanning tickets at the door with the Badger app is coming soon. See event tickets.

Parcel labels and tracking

Buy, print and cancel parcel labels without leaving Badger, through ShipStation, Sendcloud or Royal Mail Click and Drop, and send return labels when you accept a return. Badger then follows each parcel from label to doorstep, and your customers see where their parcel is on their order page. Labels are switched off until you turn them on, and a sandbox provider lets you try the whole flow before choosing a carrier. See parcel labels and tracking.

A delivery date you can keep

Set your order cut-off times, courier collection times and the days you don't work, and Badger works out when each order will arrive. Product pages and the basket say how soon to order for the next delivery, checkout shows the promised date, and it stays on the order. Orders that miss their promise are flagged so you can get ahead of them. See delivery dates.

Shops with more than one store

For Enterprise shops with several stores or warehouses:

  • Stock at every location. See and set stock per store, and each web order is sent from the location that has the stock.
  • Click and collect from any store. Customers pick a store at checkout that actually has their items, and can choose a collection or delivery slot. Each store sets how much online work it can take each day, so busy stores are routed around.
  • Run a store from the fulfilment portal. Store staff see the orders their store has to pick, pack, send or hand over, print labels, and mark collections ready.

On every plan, each store or showroom can have its own page, with a store locator, opening hours, holiday hours and temporary closures, and a store link in every theme's header. Shops with a single address can now let customers collect from it too. See stores and fulfilment.

Also in 0.87

  • Staff-only collections: products sold only to your own team, hidden from everyone else.
  • Draft pages go live only when you publish them, and you can share a private preview link first.
  • Search by SKU or barcode: a shopper who searches for a SKU or barcode lands on that exact variant.
  • Your shop's own time zone: dates and times in emails, the admin and the storefront follow the time zone you set.
  • Search experiments (Enterprise): split visitors between ranking set-ups and see which earns more per visitor.
  • More of the shop can be run by an AI assistant over MCP: taxonomies, Site Text, event tickets, store hours and capacity, delivery promises, stock per location, parcel labels and subscription prices.
  • The sales summary shows delivery charges.
  • Plus minor bug fixes and polish across the themes, subscriptions and donations.
