Know before you buy
Shoppers see whether their store has the item on the product page and in the basket, not at the last step of checkout.

Checkout offers every store that has the whole basket, and takes the stock there when they pay

Collecting
From order to handover
A collection code
Every order has a short code in the confirmation and ready emails. Staff check it, or the customer's name, at the counter.
Ready, and a reminder
The customer is told the order will usually be ready in about two hours, emailed when it is, and reminded the day before you stop holding it.
"I'm here"
A link in the email lets the customer say they're on their way, or that they're outside, with the bay and the car for kerbside collection.
The store knows straight away
Staff see who is coming and who has arrived in the fulfilment portal, as it happens.
Nobody came?
After the days you choose, an uncollected order is cancelled and refunded, the stock goes back, and the customer is told.
A thank-you, not a dispatch email
Once it's handed over, the customer gets a short thank-you note.
When a store is busy
Still on offer, just later
On Enterprise, a full or closed store isn't dropped from checkout. It's offered from the next day it can do.
"Ready from Wednesday 15 October" when today is full
Collection slots, such as Thursday 10:00 to 12:00, with a limit for each
Daily limits for each store, set by you and adjusted by the store
Collection from your own address comes with every plan. Collection from several stores, slots and store limits are part of Enterprise.
